Same Day Discharge-Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty
Description:
Same Day Discharge (SDD) is becoming an industry standard. An Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) workgroup collaborated to keep the WNCVAHCS surgery services as an industry leader using evidence-based practices. Implementation of same day discharge aligns the Asheville VA facility with the community standards and increases patient satisfaction while decreasing length of stay and use of resources.
