Improving and Sustaining Leader Rounding with Standard Work
Description:
In 2021, Western North Carolina VA Health Care System implemented the high reliability practice of executive leader rounding seeking to ensure closed loop bi-directional communication between Executives and front-line staff. By 2024, 60% of the concerns identified during leader rounding were addressed with closed loop communication. This project captures our efforts to standardize leader rounding bi-directional communication which enhances employee engagement, clarifies employee concerns, and elucidates improvement opportunities that can ultimately increase efficiency and improve patient outcomes.
