Protocol to Practice: Reinventing Fall Prevention at the Frontline
Description:
This project aims to reduce inpatient fall-related injuries by standardizing and improving staff adherence to fall-prevention protocols and enhancing patient-centered education. Despite previous efforts, falls remained a significant issue in acute care. By identifying key barriers and engaging clinical leaders, the project seeks to implement targeted, sustainable strategies. Early use of data visualization and AI tools to support ongoing monitoring and improvement. This initiative highlights the importance of combining protocol adherence with tailored patient engagement to reduce falls and improve safety outcomes in hospital settings.
Learning Objectives:After attending this Abstract, the attendees will be able to implement tailored fall-prevention care plans based on individual patient risk factors and clinical context.
After attending this Abstract, the attendees will be able to use data visualization tools, such as adherence heat maps and dashboards, to improve staff accountability and protocol compliance.
After attending this Abstract, the attendees will be able to leverage AI-supported analysis of historical safety reports to identify recurring themes and proactively predict fall risk in inpatient populations.
