As a project manager at the Michigan Program on Value Enhancement (MPrOVE), she manages multiple projects that focus improving the value of health care to patients and clinical systems, efficiently utilize healthcare resources, and translating research best practices into routine care.
Anthony Cuttitta | University of Michigan
As the Program Manager for the Michigan Program on Value Enhancement, Tony brings over fifteen years’ experience as a health and health care researcher & quality improvement expert. He leads the MPrOVE Team, who conducts quality improvement and research activities focused on improving appropriateness, de-implementing the utilization of low-value services, and generally right-sizing care to provide patients with the care they need, but not more.
Geoffrey Barnes | University of Michigan
Geoffrey Barnes, MD, MSc is a cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist at the University of Michigan Health System and co-director of the Michigan Program on Value Enhancement (MPrOVE). He completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by medical school at the University of Michigan. He then completed an internal medicine residency, chief residency in internal medicine, cardiology fellowship. and vascular medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Barnes holds multiple leadership roles across the health system related to improving quality of care, quality improvement, as well as the use of implementation science and Lean thinking to improve care or develop new care delivery models. As a health services researcher, his interests focus on safe and effective delivery of anticoagulation care, particularly for patients with atrial fibrillation and venous thromboembolism.
Lesly Dossett | University of Michigan
Lesly Dossett MD, MPH is the Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and Co-Director of the Michigan Program for Value Enhancement (MPrOVE) at the University of Michigan. Dr. Dossett earned her medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. During a research fellowship, she was awarded an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) training grant and obtained an MPH with a focus on epidemiology, patient centered outcomes, quality and policy. After completing residency, she entered active duty with the United States Navy where she served as a Staff Surgeon in various roles stateside and in combat operational zones. She joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in 2016 where she has a clinical practice focusing on sarcoma, melanoma and breast cancer. Dr. Dossett’s academic focus is on the reduction of low-value care through multi-level de-implementation strategies.
