The Ergonomic Advantage: Five Essential Lessons You Need to Know
Description:
There are many factors that can contribute to a successful ergonomics program. This presentation will focus on five critical lessons learned – some the easy way, some the hard way, that have taught us what it takes to grow and develop a successful ergonomics program. Focusing on different elements of a proactive ergonomics program – analysis tools, methods, role of emerging technology, documentation strategies and communication methods – we reflect on what has worked and what we could have done better or differently in the context of growing and developing the Ford Ergonomics Process within Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering. Aspects will include how we established and implemented standards, training methods, global alignment, and consistency across cross-functional teams, including our partners on the assembly line and in product design engineering.
