Partnering Ergonomics with Operations Excellence Teams
Description:
The Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems Ergonomics Program includes elements that systematically identify, evaluate, and mitigate risk through process improvements, leadership and employee engagement, communications, and business integration. As our business model and operations evolve, we consistently look for ways to embed ergonomic initiatives into production operations. Collaboration with our Operations Excellence Teams (OETs) has been a high value partnership which has further enhanced performance and cost savings. OETs are production focused teams strategically located at various RMS site locations. These teams are trained to perform ergonomic risk identification, provided annual goals, and tracked by leadership via performance metrics.
Evolution of current ergonomics processes as production takes ownership of the program
Integration and partnerships with existing “production focused” teams to continue to drive ergonomic risk reduction and manufacturing process improvements
Gap analysis to derive how critical stakeholders communicate, on what platforms, and what drives team participation
