Presenting Speaker
Jose Banaag | retired
José Banaag is a retired ergonomics practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the field. Most recently, he was the ergonomics lead for Honda, where he worked for over 22 years before taking an early retirement opportunity, but returned to do consulting work with Honda for an additional four years. He helped develop and evolve Honda's ergonomics program, resulting in a significant improvement in the company's leading and lagging indicators, which includes Honda's continued involvement with the Ergo Cup at the Applied Ergonomics Conference. Prior to Honda, José also had experiences practiving ergonomics in the manufacturing and consulting industries. José has been a member of the Insitute of Industrial Engineers, and became one of the original board members for the institute's Applied Ergonomics Society. He is a Certified Professional Ergonomist (retired) with the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics.
