Organizations want to provide valuable training content for employees, but they are pressured to maintain productivity, making offline training more and more challenging. Microlearning, or 5-minute “safety talks” offer the opportunity to deliver ergonomics content during pre-shift meetings or during regularly scheduled time allocated to “safety”. This presentation discusses our approach to simplify biomechanics concepts to make them more easily digestible during short training sessions.

Christina is an ergonomist with Taylor'd Ergonomics Incorporated, based in London, Ontario, Canada. She holds an undergraduate Kinesiology degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a post-graduate certificate in Advanced Ergonomics Studies from Fanshawe College. Christina regularly works with clients in the oil and gas, automotive parts, municipal, and office sectors.

Carrie is the principal ergonomist for Taylor'd Ergonomics Incorporated, a consulting company based in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. Carrie holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Guelph, and is a Certified Professional Ergonomist in Canada and the US. She has worked in the field for over 35 years, and has led her team of ergonomists since 1995.
